Great review and I second it all. PPL say if you don't ride at night, it's a waste of money and I absolutely disagree. 90% of my riding is daylight and when I see Daymakers coming towards me or behind me when I'm driving my car---I CAN SEE THEM from so far away. It catches my attention and I know they're there. So, I luv them for the additional visibility in the daylight. I do notice the slight dip---I don't have aux lights, but I'm okay because none of my driving is on pitch dark roads where I'm riding for hours and making countles 90 degree turns.
It's good to see someone else who feels the money was worth it. We pay so much money to look good....I know I've spent thousands on stuff that just looks pretty...so, I didn't mind spending that little bit on safety
Funny you mention seeing them.... I was out on a ride last weekend with my club, we get to our destination and one of the guys asks me if I had the ability to turn my headlight off. He said many times he'd look in his mirror and it never looked like my headlight on my 14 was on.
well broke down and decided to buy a set of the daymakers , they have 2 bulbs and the lights on the sides of the main lights , they are the new style , was out tonight and they do pretty good , think I still have to play with the adjustment , still do not think they are worth $35,000 but my dealer had a sale going and got a free Tri Glide with them
Bro, u don't have the new style the new style has 3 LEDs for low beam and 3 LEDs for high beam. You just gave a description of the Daymaker Projector. Most of is have been raving about the Daymaker Reflective, which just came out. I wasn't please with my reflectors until I got them aimed properly. Did 2,000 miles last week over 5 days and my lights lit up the world for all my riding partners through the mountains
Come on, Phase 7 is a great light but it has been on the market for 3 years now! No way its a newest technology.
Truck light DOES NOT make Daymaker Reflector for Harley.
There are MANY differences between TL and Daymaker Reflector mainly there are only two LEDs in TL and 7 (SEVEN) LEDs in Daymaker Reflector.
Being the NEWEST light on the market, Daymaker Reflector is definitely the brightest one, just because LEDs are getting more advanced every day. Modern LEDs are capable to emit 200 lumens per watt now!
Triple performance compared to 3 years ago!
Who makes HD Daymaker Reflector that looks just like the TL. Maybe I gave wrong information. Regardless; I luv my reflector daymaker. But who makes it since u stated TL doesn't.
I think the Daymakers are the best mod I did to my bike. They were pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. I did the passing lights and headlight and they throw off some serious light even during the day.
I have a mix between the 2 bikes. Got the TL 7" and Kury passing lamps on the Road King. Just awesome IMO. Put the Daymaker on the Road Glide and lights up very well, maybe just not quite as much to the side of the road as with the Road King combination.

I love my Reflector too, but it does not look like Truck lite at all. As I said, there are more differences than similarities. What there is in common is a reflector principle itself) Everything else is different. Form factor, ECE compliance, power draw, number go LEDs, shape of reflector, etc...
YZERNIE Just Curious
ON how you like them after a good night ride.
Thx

Also, it has chromed internal cross piece and the inside circular edges vs the Truck Lite flat gray or black. In theory and based on the design of the "Reflector", the HD light shoud produce a better spread of light.
The Daymaker Reflectors will be here today and I'll get them installed. Don't think I can do a night ride tonight but will for sure sometime this weekend.
