Thaks for any info.
I just purchased a 2013 Street Glide in August, I got a really great deal because they dealer needed floor space for the 2014. The bike has everything but an alarm system. I even got to pick the special paint job (Midnight Peal Black cause the dealer had three SG's). I traded in my 2007 Fatboy and I could not be happier. I bike handles better than anything I have ever ridden.......I wish I would have done it 3 years ago. You will not be disappointed making the switch........I would pick any year with a six speed and min 96 cu in. or newer.

I haven't had any problems with my 2007 Street Glide.

I went from a 06 1200 custom sporty to my limited, like going from a pinto to a mercedes, lol. Any touring bike you choose will be a night and day change for you. You wont regret it one bit. If its in your budget choose an ultra off the batt and dress it down to look like a SG, its alot cheaper that way instead of dressing a SG up to an ultra, just MHO. Good luck with your choice, stay safe out there.

If you are getting a used bike go for a 2009 or newer, the new frame bikes are better.
The 2009 dose not have a cat converter in the headpipe, if you can't swing a newer bike
then go for a 07 or 08. JMO

You'll love the Street Glide. I've had 3 + an '03 Electraglide. The only downside to any of them was the high gearing on my '08. If I was considering a pre-'09 again, I would avoid another '08, but that's just me. I really enjoyed my '03.

Eric, Street Glides are the HOT RODS of the touring bikes. Most in the past called Touring Bikes as Geezer Glides, but the SG changed all that. Better handling, lighter has enough bells and whistles to make rides fun! I bought a 2014 SGS and it has not disappointed me at all. Great bike with power to do anything you need. You won't be disappointed, but realize that they are not as nibble as your Sportster.
