The question by the OP wasn't how would you spend my money.....it was what would look best chrome or contrast cut?
yeppers.. Chrome is the way to go with that bike. I have the contract SE billet on a black bike and it looks ok, but even then I'm thinking the chrome would look better. Someone want to trade front and back plates? :-)
Never understood why the cheap Louie's on these forums try to talk someone off their preferred choices? ?

Personally, I would not ask anyone's opinion on anything I wanted to put on my bike. I may ask if people have any experience with an item but it's my bike, my money and if I decide I want a particular part, I just buy it. Sometimes when I receive it, it's not what I wanted for various reasons and someone gets a good deal on here. Case in point, LA Chopper 10" black Twin Peak bars, which are still for sale folks.....
Everyone has an opinion but your the one riding your bike and have to be happy with what you stick on it. Go with your first choice, it's usually the correct one.

I have this expensive habit also. Can't tell you how many good deals I've given folks on this forum for new parts that were put on and pulled right back off cause I didn't like it as much as I did in the catalog/website

Bingo! I like the look of the contrast cut on PM's website it probably looks best on a black or very dark colored bike. I usually know exactly what I want but I was really on the fence with this hence asking for opinions which not only helped me decide on the chrome but thanks to Bgill I got a fantastic deal on ebay for $299.
PS performance machine uses red K & N filters which happen to match the color of my sled

Glad it worked out for you, I bet you'll have it in hand before the end of the week as EP ships quickly and I'm sure it will look great in chrome with the red filter.
You pay a little more for Performance Machine quality but in my opinion their stuff is worth every penny and it doesn't hurt when you can catch a sale.
I've always found it best to spend a little more to get what you really want the first time opposed to settling and then getting to buy an item twice....
I have a 2014 FLHX as well and interested in the PM Max HP AC. A bit confused about which model to get as no website says it fits a '14 model. Can you guys help a brotha out?
