Ok looked it up and that was very informative. I would like to add an accessory switch to my 2014 but HD is not offering the factory push button switches yet. Think I might pick up a micro switch at Radio Shack and use that until the factory switches are available.
One more sweet thing about the '14 models that Harley did. The older models, '13 down, required you to totally remove the ignition switch to take off the fairing cap. The '14s have a slotted cap that slides off it would appear. Takin that switch off was a PITA cause you had to lock the forks to the side to remove it. Then if you wanted to straighten the forks out with the switch removed, you had to have a special tool to align the switch parts inside the frame.

That ignition switch can be removed in any position. I remove mine with the wheel pointed straight head. As far as a special tool, a thin long blade flat screwdriver works fine....
Depending on what you want to operate, you can use the round mileage button switch....i know you can use it for the garage opener...if more amperage then it would need to be rated.

Same here I put mine up on my lift take the ignition switch out then I cxan move the wheel where ever I want, only thing if you move the switch inside with a screwdriver you just have to remember how many and which way you click it so you can get it back.

The 2014 no longer have the round plunger mileage switch. It was replaced by a switch on the left control housing that toggles thru mileage, trip, distance till empty, and a few other things. And after looking at it last night the panel is slotted so no more removing the ignition switch...
I know that but you can drill a hole in the blank, it ain't that hard to do... Like i said, depending on what you want to add... The little mileage button might not be strong enough...You can still buy it though and install it on a 2014 if you want...It's just a switch.
