V&H

I was looking for something loud, rineharts or something along those lines. I already have the v&h twin slash rounds which have a hot rod sound. I'm really tired of the race car sound and want something that has a deeper sound. I like the CFR but here they have tuning issues.

So, looking at the V&H monster rounds or the V&H Hi Outputs. I don't like the ovals. I'm running dresser duals with pcv and stage 1 a/c. I really like the sound of the hi outputs but don't know if there will any tuning issues because of such a open system with no back pressure. Fuel moto does my tuning. Same question for the Monster rounds. I hate the 2 1 2 exhaust headers so that's not an option. Anyone running duals with hi outputs without cam work on a 103.

You might loose a little bottom end with the pro-pipe. They're a great pipe. Than again I'm partial to 2/1 pipes and have had several V&H. My 2 cents.

Monster rounds aren't necessarily loud. The High Outputs will get loud if that is your primary motivator. FM can tune either.

I've heard both, but have never had either on my bike. A nice loud slip on are the original V&H ovals. I had those on my 02 RKC. Loved them. Your ears would ring after a nice 200 mile ride.

I don't think V&H makes them anymore but you may be able to find them on ebay.

I have the vance and hines monster rounds and they sound great. They get louder as they break in. I had vance and hines big shots on my old bike and they where crazy loud actually too much after a while. See if you can ride a bike with the monsters. According to vance and hines they sound the same as the ovals.

Load and deep is good, I'm running the Crushers from Kury and I love the sound. When I want loader I run the thunderheader slip on's on my v&h dresser duals.

I have V&H High Outputs on my 103". They aren't loud until you get on the gas. They have a resonating deep sound, that as I said wakes up when you crack the throttle.

After putting cams in, they got slightly louder without changing the tone.

Well, just talked to fuel moto and he said the hi output was to much for 103 without engine work. Would lose to much bottom end and needs engine mods to work properly, cam, head work, etc.... So it looks like I'm going with the monster rounds. I think they will be loud enough with the dresser duals. Duals make anything louder.
