I live in SLC UTAH and I can ride to almost all the national and state parks here and very seldom get on the super slab. Utah has some of the most beautiful areas and some of the uglyiest I've rode through.

Eagle Mt. is on the edge of the salt flats to the east is the mountains. There is a lot of asphalt to be traveled in Utah if you use up all roadways there you have Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona & New Mexico that are a weak end drive they have a lot of good asphalt there. You can ride till your butt goes num. If u use that up head for the West Coast. There is parts of that country you'll need to carry fuel to make it to the next town. Have fun I like it out there Big sky country.

Try heading South and take highway 89 to the North Rim of the Canyon. Then head East
to Capital Reef National Park, then run over to Natural Bridges National Park. Lots of
sight seeing in Utah, and it is all good in Canyon country.

These SW States have fantastic riding...long vistas, huge changes in elevation and enough space to be on your own.

Monument Valley:

The Moki Dugway- rt 261 N of Mexican Hat:

From SLC it is a nice ride North thru the wilds to Lava Hot Springs...um Bonneville...Utah has more destinations than riders.

Utah is a great place to really let your bike unwind. You can be riding at high speed and not even realize it there is so much open space. I always thought it would be cool to take my Corvette out there and see how fast it would go.

We were able to get out and see some of the area, my biggest concern was that there would be a lot of expressway riding. Where I am now I can ride all day on back country roads and never see a traffic light.

I am about 10 minutes from Eagle Mountain. From Eagle you can go west out through the desert or east to the mountains. You would be about 10 minutes from American Fork Canyon and the Alpine Scenic Loop which connects to Provo Canyon. From there you can go up the Mirror Lake Highway into the Uinta Mountains. You don't have to travel far to see scenic beauty. What's great about it is the fact that once you put the bike away for winter you fire up the Arctic Cat and it's a whole different world out there in 8 feet of snow. Yes, I think you will like it here.
