Default Question from a new guy.

Hey all,

I'm still very new at this so please take it easy on me. I'm looking at purchasing a set of Bassani Megaphones for my '10 FLHRC. Would it be possible to put on a different brand of headers, say V&H, down the road if I wanted to go that route? Also, what would all that entail? Thanks in advance.

to answer your question, yes.

Slipons are well... slipons.. easy as pie to put on. simply unbolt the muffler clamps get the old slipons off, spray some wd40 on the inside edge of the new ones and slide them on.

The head pipe, you'll need to pull the slipons back off
unbolt riders floorboard
unbolt stock headers from cylinder heads
unbolt crossunder pipe hanger from back of oil pan
unbolt header bracket near transmission shroud
remove header pipe
replace exhaust port gasket on both cylinders. these should come with any good header pipe
reverse order to install.

takes about 2 hours to do the whole job taking your time.

Yeah I was just curious. For the time being slip ons and some apes first. Then we'll go from there.

Love my Megaphones!! I've had them on since 09. Have been thinking about changing the headpipe myself.
