Default What should I do next...

2008 SG Anniversary bought a year ago with 9700 on the clock, got 20k now.

It had stage 1 with V&H when I bought it and not much else.

I installed klockwerks Ergo back bars, handle bar mount mirrors, a cheap quick detach trunk, Progressive 940's in the rear and drop in lowering springs in the front, kury adapters to move the footboards out and forward a bit, brake light flasher, Cee Baily recurve shield, hitch from HitchDoc, Mustang seat and both tires have been replaced in the last 3k.

Tank has stabilizer in it as it's 28 degrees today and is only gonna get colder. It's all cleaned up and tucked away for winter but I'm itching to warm up the garage and do SOMETHING to it.

I was thinking pulling the air temp gauge and installing an oil temp gauge.

Any other ideas?

Oil temp gauge is a bad idea. It will only serve to distract you and make you want to start threads about "what is too hot". I've been there. If you want to address your engines longevity, add an oil cooler and don't worry about the temperature.

Only you know what you are unhappy with about the bike. Those are the things to change.

The only thing about my bike that makes me unhappy is that it is about 500 miles too far north right now. LOL

I had the same thought about replacing air temp gauge with oil temp. But then I figured it would drive me crazy worried about the temp..

You'll love the power n still gonna keep riding in the 20's temp with warmth, as long as the road is clear of snow/ ice!

I like the idea of an oil temp gauge. I do not obsess over it, just like the oil pressure or volt meter, you learn what is normal and monitor from there.
