I was in the same boat and roughly the same size. I felt like I was just reaching a little bit too much and after an hours ride, my back hurt. I replaced the bars with Heritage classic bars. couldn't be happier.
did you have to change the cables? I don't really want to mess with those right now.
Thanks
When I changed my 05 RKC classic I put the cables inside the bars and did need a little adapter to extend them.
I had same problem, sore neck and back. I'm 6'0 and went with the Heritage Chrome bars and a comfort stitch seat. Love them both, made all the difference in the world.
I had the same problem when I bought my RK. The guy I bought it from is 6'4" and I'm about 5'10". I just loosened the clamps and pulled them back till they let me lean on the backrest comfortably and rotated the grips back up in position. No problems and no extra cost.
I am the same size as you are and I just did a change over to Wild 1 508's and could not be happier. All the stock cables, cluch, wires and brake lines fit perfectly with no ext. needed. They are a bit of a price through the company but I found a set on eBay for $75. and jumped on it. I would never go back. They sit me right in the perfect spot.
