After being able to squeeze those first 645 miles on my new bike I had to finally put it in "moth *****"/and steel wool literally (keeps the mice away). The only change I initially made was the chromed front end but now my ordered parts are starting to come in!
This change though small I think adds a lot to a part that Harley has "cheapened" over the last few years. I always liked the rider floor boards on 05 Road king so I upgraded my 2014 floorboards to 05 floorboards, mmmm "upgraded" back in time....
Cost me about $100, I think it was worth it.
For those interested:
Harley Parts list: Footboard Pad (rubber insert) 50689-04, Footboard top (chrome trim) 50690-04, 4 screws per floor board, 4911 ( these screws are self tapping and were the most expensive item for there size...I should have gotten them elsewhere. Note: you cannot use the existing 2014 Rubber footboard insert.
"Winetr"???? Bud Lite spelling...

Your right about cheapining them. My 06 and 09 SG came with the older style then in 2010 or 11 they dropped the extra piece of chrome. I guess no one was upgrading the ones that were stock from 06 thru 09
