Seeing how this is an old thread, I just received info from a dealer that will install this Trident coating to my TG free (a $349 value) if I purchase the prepaid customer service plan by next month. I have already purchased a plan from another dealer, but this dealers plan is 3 times better and cheaper, so getting the plan is already a done deal for me.
I have read a lot of posts on other forums not to waste my money on it, but what if it was FREE!! What would you do? Still not get it or get it since it's free???
I'm thinking why not get it and then put the 3M film on top of that.... double protection.
I hate to say no to somthing free.
What say you???
HDV-Glide, $300 sure buys a ton of wax, but what about all the hours of labor I would save having to do all the waxing?
On another note - I read an article about carnuba wax(all wax's???) It said wax was a waste of money if you lived in a hot climate. They did some tests on cars parked out in the sun and the temps were arount 288* and they said wax melts at just under 280* so all the wax on these cars was melting away and leaving the cars unprotected.
I never thought about wax melting before. Now I'm wondering if I am wasting money/time waxing my vehicles.
Opinions anyone???
Gary, looking at your location, we've probably got the same dealer. If you don't mind me asking, how much is the PCMP?
Talldog, the dealer quoting me is Woodstock H-D. $2399 for 3 years unlimited milage. They are not my dealer do to being so far away, but the plan is too good to pass up plus I get a loaner so I don't need to drag anyone with me to bring me home.
My dealer was $2095 for all the services up to 10K - which for me is only one year.
