There are only a few companies making true performance Stage 1 intakes anymore.

DK Custom
NRHS
Hammer

I don't know of any others.

Pushing blow-by back into the air cleaner is counter productive to performance. What comes out of the breathers is primarily exhaust and oil.

It is also hot. Engines perform better with cool dry air and gas...not hot oily air and gas.

Additionally the exhaust gas has a lower oxygen content, displacing oxygen on each combustion stroke. Another performance robber.

Oil will build up carbon deposits on the pistons, leading to pinging/tuning problems down the road.

It's just a bad idea...the only upside is you make the EPA happy.

You can see the dozens of different looks of the DK Custom Outlaw A/C's HERE. Also at that link are dyno charts showing the bump in torque and HP, by just NOT venting the hot oily air into the intake.

Below is a link to a recent thread with lots of good info on the subject-

I've had SE intakes on my last 2 bikes and both had oil blow by so I had to modify(below pic) them. Next one will be one from Kevin at DK Customs to eliminate those issues.

I might be partial but I would choose the Stealth AC's

http://www.sscycle.com/go-fast-showc...-cleaner-kits/

$129.95 MSRP for the AC and will fit under your stock AC cover, we also have other covers available for an additional $139 and up.

Read the reviews on the link. These are also MADE IN THE USA!

FWIW, I had a SE snorkle one with supertrapp2:1, 24 discs with open cap produced 101/109.
Went with AN inverted with thunderheader 2:1 and reunes at 100/108.
I think I need a better tuner.
BTW they both had oil issues in the intake on a new rebuild with 6k miles, I am using 1 qt every 800-1000 miles. In the process of trying to correct that.

I've got the Ness inverted. Quality unit.

If I get a new AC in the future it will be this one. I have had the SE Heavy breather, the Ness Stage 2, and now the SE stage 1 AC. As others have said, the performance is not noticeable difference on any of them. What I like about the SE stage 1, is I am now using a stock black denim cover and that keeps the weather off the ac.

Take a look at the Vance & Hines VO2 Naked Air intake. No oil issues with it as it is plumbed like the stock system.
