I can assure you that HD doesn't make compressors but if you need the logo on the compressor, that's your choice. I've burned out 2 Slime's and went with the Harbor Freight unit early this year. It's not much larger than the slime but is more durable, has a quick-release fitting and a great performer. At $9.49 it's a great value. http://www.harborfreight.com/12-volt...ssor-4077.html

I find space to be at a premium on a motorcycle.
The webbikeworld link provided on post #4 has been the smallest, least expensive 12 volt pump that has proven reliable for me.
As a reminder, the battery tender plug is fused.
The fuse will blow if a compressor is plugged into that tender line unless the line and fuse have been upgraded.
As an easy electrical connection option: The starter motor has a positive terminal right on top of it under the rubber boot (cable goes straight to battery by the way) and any non-painted frame part can provide a ground.
Sometimes we forget a simple access point when 12 volt power is required for emergency stuff or a jump start.

About 4 years ago I too picked up a slime air compressor ( it's bout the size of a 8 track cartridge, I guess I'm dating my age! ) and a tire plug kit.

They stay in my left side saddle bag, and I have never had to use yet. Small in size, and cheap in price. Just good insurance for me.

I've seen more positive posts for slime pumps than hd pumps. I think I'll buy one.
