Just wanted to thank Joe and Tim at Powder Pro. I picked up the parts today and they look amazing. Too bad it will be a couple of weeks before I can get home to get them on the bike!
I picked up the parts on the 12th and they then sat in a box until I got back from out of town after Christmas. Of course, the very first thing I did was unpack them and get to work.
Couple of things I've learned:
Disassembly was the easy part
When you powder coat bolts, the torx and hex heads don't fit quite right anymore.
I have a couple of nuts and bolts that I'm wondering what they go to.
The service manual doesn't go into as much detail as I want it to.
YouTube and this forum are lifesavers.
Anyways, I'm not done yet. Here's a couple of progress photos. The front end is my favorite part of the bike. Can't see it all here, but when it's all done you will see why.
