Default Installing adjustable riders back rest

My local shop is having a Christmas sale next week. I can get the following parts for 20% off:
Comfort Stitch Rider Backrest Kit Part #: 52423-09A. listed at $109.95

Adjustable Rider Backrest Mounting Kit Part #: 52593-09A. listed at $219.95

With the discount and not including tax, I'm looking at $263.92

First off, does anyone know of any other dealers that can do better on the prices?

Taking a quick glance at the HD instructions, installing these parts doesn't seem to be an easy install. With an adjustable bike rest, I don't want to screw something up and take a tumble as a result of not installing properly. For those who have done the install, how difficult is it? My shop charges $80 an hour. I'm just wondering how difficult it is.

Also, any guys in the Charlotte area, I'll buy you a bottle if you're willing to assist in the install. Hey, one hand washes another!

It's a REALLY simple bolt on installation. The most difficult part is the adjustable lever. You can download the pdf instructions at H-D.com and take a look.

No one is going to beat 20% that I know of. I use HalesHD. They do 20% off for phone orders.

This is a do it yourself job, if you are good with picture instructions, but don't like to read, maybe you should take the time and read step by step with this one, but other than that it was easy to install.

Oh by the way, 20% is a great deal, Maryland dealers give 15% , only huge ticket items get 20% off.

Like other's have said, it is an easy install. The hardest part for me was figuring out exactly where to put the hard plastic sticky thingy on the seat.

Do yourself a favor and buy the Mustang Backrest 10 times better than the HD and looks way better.

Really easy to install. I have used mine on only a handful trips and have never liked it. I would much rather use a bedroll or small luggage between the sissy bar and my back. I have tried in almost all positions, and have never been really liked any of them. Just my thoughts.

So easy a caveman can do it! Just kidding it is pretty simple and you will love the ability to adjust while riding on long rides. I did mod mine to lower it,I sawed the bracket into, overlapped and drill 2 hole and bolted back together with nylon nuts, painted black. Feels like my old Mustang backrest now. It rest on my lower back instead of just below my shoulder blades.
