Maybe a 150. you really need to check clearance in your rear fender. I have seen 180s on the rear of an 08 but with a different rim. There is a thread on the forum by a member named timberland, that got a 180 mounted a couple of different ways. IT was very helpful when i was trying to put a wide tire on my 04.

if you went up to an 18 x 4.25 you probably could go 160 with minimum hassle. I ran a 160 metzler on a 18 x 4.25 rim for a while & it never rubbed. Tire did not last very long due to load rating. Averaged about 5K a rear tire.

your results will vary from mine. i have done 4 wide tires on older bikes. they were all different. best installation was using the SE Road King rear fender and the 17 x 4.5 wheel to run a 170 x 60 x 17.

Worst was the 18 x 4.25 with the metzler 160 due to excessive tire cost every 5K.

Low profile tyres use wider rims than the stock tyre you have. There are also limits on width you can fit, without going to extra lengths. In addition wide low profile tyres may not be available with a suitable load rating. You may be able to get in a 160 wide tyre, but they are only available in larger rim diameters and similar in rolling diameter to your current tyre.

I suggest you replace your rear tyre with a similar one and look into other ways of lowering it. Do you want to do this for looks, or reach?
