It is a great deal, if your winter season lasts from October thru April.

Luckily, we go from winter to spring every week.

How cold is it where you live? Where you at? Thats gonna play a significant role in battery drain. If you're in FL, TX, AZ or something I wouldn't worry about it.

I live in Upstate NY and we get plenty of cold weather and snow. However, I know guys who store them in their garages with no tenders and have no problems in the spring. But I use a tender religiously and get a couple-three years or more out of my batteries. I guess like others have said, it depends on electronics and security systems and how much they're draining while sitting.

Ok just checked the manual and it says it disarms with the key fob in proximity or when the ignition is turned on or put in the accessory position - this however seems like it would still be a parasitic draw

Also checked the storage requirements - manual keeps redirecting to different location - but ended up with the following

1 - hook up to a tender

Or

2 - disconnect negative and prep battery for storage

Guess I will just hook it up and leave it be
