I can understand their point on Saddleman seats...I have a set of Saddleman soft bags on my commuter bike, and their quality is best described as 'cheesy'...so no surprise that MCC wouldn't want to work on them.
My seat is boxed up and heading for MCC today, assuming the post office doesn't necessitate me beating someone mercilessly for being stupid. I can't wait to see what they do with it...
Its important that I state my experience with MCC and will not use them again. Im not going to start a bashing session and if you want to discuss it offline you can PM me....nuff said.

I would recommend from my experience(and wish I had done this) that anyone catch them at a rally, and have your seat mod-ed to what you want there at the rally.
Then ride around a few days and if it's not to your expectations or liking then you can have them fix it on the spot while still at the rally.
Shipping is pricey these days. $30 there, $30 back.
Then if you're not satisfied then you have to send it back again.
No guarantee you'll be satisfied this time either.
If that makes sense?
However, many are satisfied doing the mail order thing, so it's your call.
It's a buyer beware thing.
