2004 Bagger Front Pulley Regear
Second: How many teeth can I go down and not have to change the belt(is there enough adjustment in the wheel)?
Thanks guys thinking bout switching to the baker aluminum.
have you considered changing the rear?
I used a 65T on my evo FLHTC for an overdrive. stock 70T, no belt swap was required.
You need to look at your adjusters and be sure that you have about an inch of space on there to take up the slack
my FXR runs a 60T for a 15% overdrive- this is a lightweight bike with plenty, plenty grunt...I did this when changing belts and had to use a softail belt to make it work...that was about 1992.
both the 65T and 60T were H-D parts made for other models. swapping a rear pulley takes about 1/10 the time of pulling the primary
I can;t help you with part numbers..I think your 2004 was 1st year of narrow belt(?).

Right now the bike has a 21t compensator sprocket and the rear pulley is chrome and matched the rims($$$$), so that's the main reason why that can't be switched.
My plan is to switch back to the 25t comp. sprocket and change to a front 30t (light weight aluminum) baker in hopes of picking up my MPH at the strip.
I have a 139t 1-1/8" belt, so by removing the 2 teeth I need a 137t belt to be in the stock place. I can't find that tooth count belt. I know another count would work, but I want to try to keep the wheel in same place if I can.
WHAT BELT SHOULD I GET?

I think I found the 137 tooth at Dennis Kirk https://www.denniskirk.com/drag-spec...prd/020286.sku
It should work since it's 137t and 1-1/8"wide
