2012 Security system chirp when arming?
I've been following this thread:

It came up that the Security System can be setup to chirp when it arms. Can anyone come up with instructions on how to make this happen on a 2012 model? I've read through the paperwork on the siren (68328-06A) several times and can't find anything.

many of us use the radio shack $6 piezo.
when I plugged mine in, it chirped by default with the signal light flash. no special actions required.
i know there is a procedure to turn off the alarm ( such as for towing/trailering) outlined in the manual

Perform the following to switch between chirp and chirpless modes.
1.With the fob present, set the OFF/RUN switch to RUN.
2.When the security lamp turns off, set the OFF/RUN switch to OFF.
3.When the security lamp turns off (but before the turn signals flash twice), immediately set the OFF/RUN switch to RUN.
4.When the security lamp turns off, immediately set the OFF/RUN switch to OFF.
5.When the security lamp turns off (but before the turn signals flash twice), immediately set the OFF/RUN switch to RUN.
6.When the security lamp turns off, immediately set the OFF/RUN switch to OFF.
7.When the security lamp turns off (but before the turn signals flash twice), immediately set the OFF/RUN switch to RUN.
