Default Headlight ring

Iv recently installed a truck lite led on my 06 SG and noticed that it stick out so I was reading on here about the frenched ring. So I went to my local hd dealer and found one but it splits at the bottom in half which is held together clasped by a nut and bolt which is different than the factory one screw thru the bottom mount. My question is has anyone seen another frenched ring that has the exact same mounting screw hole as the factory ring?

Looks good, that's what I have.
Some people have figment issues but I suspect they are trying to install without the old one on.

They look good. You just have to get the two sides lined up where they meet at the bottom and may take a little persuading.

If you can get the bottom gap closed it looks good...I'm happy with the way my ring came together.

Well basically... You remove factory ring put new frenched ring over the top, then begin to tightening factory mounting screw back in and tighten but leave some room in order to close the gap on the new ring? Correct?

If I recall correctly, I didn't have to remove the factory ring. The frenched ring just slips over the factory ring and is tightened down.

Just 'loosen' the factory ring ...slip the frenched ring over it and tighten it all down. The new ring comes with instructions to do just that.

Here's a picture of the frenched ring. It is installed over the stock ring as others have described. Make sure and loosen the stock trim ring before beginning to tighten down the frenched ring. The frenched ring's rear lip will need to slip between the stock ring and the headlight base.

Be patient and it will completely close the gap.
