Hey Everyone.
Looks like I might be getting a New SGS. I want to just do some slip ons
and then later do the Head pipe.
2 Questions.
1. Do I need to adjust the ECM with a Download If Im just doing slip ons now ?
2 Besides the shape...Whats the difference in the V and H Monster Rounds or Ovals ?

I have the twin slash monster ovals. They have a deep rumble down low and moderate bark when you get on the throttle. I would think its a shape preference an not too much difference in the sound. Others may have other opinions..
you might get better bang for your buck by doing the header first.
some guys are completely happy with the stock mufflers once the cat is out of the header.
my take on M/O's with a no cat header?
too loud, can't use the radio.
project a tinny sound straight out the back in a line of sight...so not pleasant to ride behind.
it has been proven that the most commonly used phrase on the forums is: " Low rumble, not too loud, but really barks when i get on it"
Thanks for the responses guys,
Yeah I see that thread of the guy over in Beirut. Kinda makes me wonder if another choice is better. I don't want a headache ! Stock just wont do tho...
I've run the Monster Rounds before, As Mkguitar said, they sound real tinny from the rear, and LOUD, would give me a headache a couple of hours into a day long ride.
So I switched to CFR Mufflers, much deeper sound, and not real loud at a cruise, have no problem hearing the radio!
sound is similar between the two. i have the rounds and can ride all day without them bothering me. can also hear my music just fine. not as loud as rineharts? ...
If you know you're going to do the head pipe, I suggest you start there first. It adds a Low rumble, not too loud, but really barks when you get on it. You may find that you like the sound this way like I did. No need for a tuner, although it would probably be a good thing to do.
