I wouldn't be surprised if they would offer to deliver it to the airport for you, as far as I'm concerned their service is that good.
As far as which islands rkoivisto was talking about, it could be Vancouver Island in Canada or the San Juans in Wa.

Do you know when in July (date and time) you'll be flying in?
If my schedule allows it I could pick you guys up at the airport and shuttle you around to get you set up for your trip.

Let me know.

I always figured a ride down the coast then come back north via Crater Lake and St Helens.
Can't have too many options, Standingpipe. Another plus for Sound. And really appreciate any and all suggestions for good rides while we're there. I'll be sure to check that out on good ol' google maps! Thank you.

Well now I see that you have family here, but if you need a ride and I'm available my wife and I will pick you up and drive you right to where you need to go.

Thanks for the reply, Mike. I'll keep that in mind if'n I ever get over to St. Louis.

From Seattle there is a one day ride that travels 3 mountain passes, and is absolutely gorgeous in the summer time. You could leave in the Morning, have breakfast in Monroe, head up Stevens Pass. Then stop in a little German town called Leavenworth for lunch. Then maybe a trip to Wenatchee, for a view of some of our famous apple orchards.

From there you head out and go over Blewett Pass, not alot of towns on this leg of the trip, but when you come off of the pass you roll into a little town called Cle Elum. A must stop in Cle Elum is Owens Meats for some of their Landjaeger, great stuff.

After Cle Elum you hop onto I90 and head over Snoqualmie Pass, your now an hour away from Seattle with a few stops in between you could be back to your daughters house for dinner!
On this part of the trip you'll go thru North Bend (where we live) and then the town of Snoqualmie where you could stop and see the Snoqualmie Falls.

You can Google all of the above mentioned places and decide if it's something you want to do.

That's incredible, cb7263! You, my friend, restore my, sometimes cynical, faith in humanity! That offer is above and beyond! Many thanks! And I would like to extend the same to you. I know it pales to the state of Washington, fer sure, but if you ever decide to motor the great lakes and the state of michigan/UP I'll do the same! Maybe you might want to use Detroit as a waypoint for an east coast run, etc.

Yes, July can be real nice too. Be sure and keep us posted, I'd be happy to ride with you down the North Oregon coast and show off some our scenery (and a brew pub or two)

It looks as though I'll also be googling "landjaeger" as well. Lol! Thanks, and will definitely check out your route! I'm already feeling short on enough time. Will definitely have to sit down and do some thoughtful prioritizing!

Ha, we must've known one each other in another life! One of my favorite mindless quotes, "he that drinketh strong beer and goes to bed right mellow, lives as he ought to live and dies a hearty fellow" Author unknown (at least to me). Mostly while I was drinking good ale, but there was more than a time that I felt exactly that sentiment.

I'll be sure to do that, depending, Wild Duck. You can't beat local people for good food, drink and riding roads. That's fer sure!
