No clue if what he said even makes sense regarding "grounding" but if so I'd assume the kickstand would do so?
Yep, the kickstand. Put the kickstand up on a piece of wood. Take a DVM and set it to mh. Stick one probe in the ground or on a metal fence post, and take the other probe a hold it to a metal part of your bike and let us know what you read on the meter.
Mine is in a cold garage. No power in there so I took the battery out, Sta-Bil in the full tank, tires up on some 3/4" stock as well as the kickstand. Keeping the bike off of the ground that prevents electrical grounding. Current flow promotes rust. Look up how gun bluing is processed.
Current flow? Last I checked tires are rubber, rubber doesnt conduct. I could be wrong tho.
