Yep, the kickstand. Put the kickstand up on a piece of wood. Take a DVM and set it to mh. Stick one probe in the ground or on a metal fence post, and take the other probe a hold it to a metal part of your bike and let us know what you read on the meter.

Current flow? Last I checked tires are rubber, rubber doesnt conduct. I could be wrong tho.

Y'all worry way too much. Park the bike, put the battery on a tender, start the bike and ride when you're ready. Nothing else is necessary.
