You that are getting the low rates, is your credit score above 700?

Anyone thinking about financing a bike, please compare apples-to-apples before you sign any contract.

Check with your (or any) credit union for the same amount of money you are planning on financing along with the same number of months/payments.

Longer plans make for smaller payments but it will cost you more in interest in the long run, so just for the heck of it, also compare and consider a shorter plan if you can swing the payment comfortably.
A lot of things can happen in 7 years and you don't want to be in a position that could force you to sell your bike to eliminate a monthly payment.
In some cases, you may be better off not having a lot of equity in a bike but you also don't want to be in a position where you have NO equity at all.

The factory (MOCO) does not own any of the Harley stores or dealerships. Therefore the dealers are free to charge whatever they want, or can. They can give the bikes away or they can charge $50,000 a piece for them.
In essence, the factory manufacturers the vehicles and sells them to the Harley stores, which are free to charge MSRP, more than MSRP or less than MSRP. In a perfect world the MOCO would like to see all dealers at the same price, but this ain't a perfect world so the "free market" takes over. Dealers are also free to guide potential buyers of their vehicles toward the factory's financial arm or they can guide them toward whoever they want. Again, it's a free market.

When I was doing commission sales I would always get the longest term I could. It would give me a small payment for those slow months, and I would boost the heck out of the payment on the gravy months.

Don't think they had 84 month loans then, but we did several 72 month ones, paid all off within 48 months.

Thanks for the replies. Earlier I mentioned 21k for a SG, but was not referring to a SGS, but the standard street glide. Given my further research it seems that I should shoot for around 19k out the door for a standard SG. Is that a pipe dream or possible? Thanks!

IMO I would walk in when stock was in plenty in january or february or september, last week of that month, and on a tuesday or wednesday . Then I would say yes to possible at 19,500.

Wow. Couldn't even get close to that in this area. You wouldn't think they could buy the loans that cheap with their volume. Cars yes for sure. In any case good for you.

I would venture to say yes. I got a good interest rate and my credit score is above 770.

And at the end of 7 months (can't believe it's that short a term) you will have to refinance. In 7 months all you payed on was the interest, no principal! At lot of money right down the drain. And now you have to go out and finance again-at what rate? Make no sense to me.
