Why? Wide tires screw with the handling of the bike.... looks cool but

I think the tire that comes on it is wide enough, but whatever makes you feel good.

you would assume that the handling changes a lot but going to a 220 would be a very slight difference..... my vrod Ive gone from a 240 to a 280 and didn't notice any difference.... 180 is a pretty wide tire so I feel comfortable with it. thxsw for response paul

200 is the norm for 13-09, your 14 should be good with that.

220 is not going to fit. 200 is the widest. Check the other thread you started. One thread is usually enough.

I agree, I'm coming off an 2007 Fatty which had a 200+ width tire on the back and a 140 (?) on the front.......not a well handling machine. It looked bad-*** but could not corner worth a hoot. I think the stock SG is absolutely perfect in the handling department.

a 200 rear with a 21 front (120/70/21 or 130/60/21 will handle very well. This is by far the most popular size combo for baggers 2000 and newer. I run a 120/70/21 on my 13 FLTRX with the stock rear for now (money is tight) and the bike handles great. I'll do a 200 /17 when finances allow.

A fatboy is completely different than a bagger. Different frame, different motor, etc etc. My bagger with a few simple mods handles far better than my softail ever did. Of course my 05 bagger was not quite as nice as the 13 due to the newer frame setup.
