You know 'any' barrel key will work... it's not specifically keyed to your bike (and when you forget your key, you can beg help from other HD riders to unlock the cover - ask me how I know!)

I purchased the button replacement for my 2007 Ultra after what I experienced with my 2014 SGS. Only difference when you replace the lock on older models is the cover must have the spring/connection installed to pop the cover up. I did not replace it originally and used the old attachment bracket and whoops! Could not open the cover once the button was pushed. Fixed that mistake and works like a charm.

Funny this comes up. I had the locking push button for the last 50k miles (didn't like it, but had it so I stuck with it) which failed last week. I went with smooth push button and all is well.
