Ride On is great stuff but will only seal a leak in the tire. Not in a valve stem leak or leak from spokes. Also does not make a mess. When you remove the tire it will all stay on the tire. Look it up on YouTube. It also balances your tire . Eagle Rider now uses it in all their rental bikes for balancing and preventing flats. I've been using it for years and it has saved my butt a few times. Great product

That`s good to know. I have it in my present bike and had it in my last one, but have yet to find out how good it is. Thanks.
I don't know how you would get Ride On into a tube. Anyone ever tried?
You just squeeze it in thru valve stem just as you would without a tube. On their website it explains the process, very easy although they do say it's not as effective on tubed tires as far as sealing goes but does still balance tire. Rider magazine took a non tubed tire and drilled nine 1/4 inch holes in it and rode away with no leaks. They give a percentage on how good it is on tubed tires but I forget the #.

I did not know you can run it in a tube, however I don;t think it will actually seal a tube, thus in this case beads are an equally good option.
The manufacturer saying it is "not as effective" probably means it won't seal a tube as opposed to a tubeless tire that is solely basing the it ability to seal on the bead on the the the of the rim.
