Can anyone help me? I just purchased an 03 Electra glide Standard and need to push back form the handle bars/floor boards a bit. I know HD makes a tall boy seat as well as floor board repositioners, anybody have a suggestion as to witch is better for a 6 foot tall guy?
I have a mustang 2 piece seat that I find a lot more comfortable than the stock seat. I'm 6'4". Highway pegs help too. I sat on a bike that had the HD floorboard extension and I wasn't impressed. Never tried the tallboy seat. ENjoy your new bike. Got any pics?
I'm 5' 18" so I know what you're talkin about. I have the Tallboy Harley seat and just picked up the floor board reposition kit but I haven't had a chance to install them yet. Hopefully the combination will offer a little more comfort for me on my Ultra...
There has been a lot of posts on this. Look at MeanCityCycles.com they have done a lot of stock seat reshaping, with a lot of happy members. I,m getting ready to send them mine. Typical prices is around 50/75 or so,plus shipping, If my memory is right. LOL
I've got the tallboy seat for my 07 Road Glidealong with extended floorboards for my 35" inseam. The extended floor boards help but the tallboy seat doesn't do much IMO. I end up using it for 2 up riding and prefer the stock seat when riding solo. I've heard the Hollywood seat from Corbin is good for tall riders but have not tried it.

There certainly is a lot of posts on this subject...everyone has their favorite remedy for tall guy comfort. The problem is that unless you happen to meet someone with the tallboy, mustang or hollywood seat that you can check out you won't know until you buy and that can be frustrating and expensive. I've tried the 2 dealers in my area and neither one had one to try, the largest dealer said they hadn't had a tallboy come through in a couple of years.
My probem is at 6'3" and 51 years old I have a failing hip that causes me all kind of discomfort. I'm facing a replacement but the 2 surgeons that I've consulted don't want to do it until I just can't stand it any more...afraid it'll wear out before the rest of me does. I may take my chances on a tallboy...its a crapshoot.
I'm 6'3" and ride an FLHTCI. I felt cramped until I did the following: adjustible backrest, floorboard extenders, EZ Brake, extended toe shifter, highway pegs. I still use the stock seat, but the changes made the ride much more comfortable. I have more leg and foot room. I would like to raise my handlebars about three inches. Does anyone know if this can be done? Hope this helps.
question for tall boy seat owners..... can you use the HD back rest that goes thru the stock ultra seat???? need to know beforeI invest $300 bucks at a stealer
