2014 infotainment changes wanted
1. Ability to turn off the album cover graphics. If listening to mp3 from iPod or thumb drive, I do not like the distraction of screen changing for something as unimportant as artwork when riding.
2. Increase the wait time for finding the thumb drive when starting the bike. About a quarter of the time when starting the bike the infotainment system does not find the thumbdrive and reverts back to the radio. I then must manually reselect the thumb drive as the music stream I want to listen to. Not hard to do, but with a little tweeting from a good programmer it can be prevented.
3. Ability to turn music off. Not everything (GPS, cb) just the music. Will default to radio if no mp3 pluged in. So far I have not found a way to turn the music off. Sometimes I just want it off.
4. After setting up a trip with multiple stops (waypoints) from HD trip planner and uploading to bike. Sometimes the gps trips info is missing from the selection menu. When this happens I must turn off the bike long enought for infotainment system to reboot inself. If I turn the bike off and back on to soon the infotainment system will not reboot itself and the next stop (waypoints) will still be missing. My work around is to select the next stop (waypoint) within the trip prior to turing the bike off when I reached the previous destination.
5. The gps screen has two user defined fields. One on left and one on right. If you have a destination selected and gps is guiding, the area of the screen where the left user defined field is located is occupied by the music system. It list the song being played. Please fix this. Allow both user defined fields to be visible at all times when on the GPS screen.
6. Please add the engine temp to the (i) info screen.
7. The ability to turn off the warning screen every time we turn on the bike. I'm certain that HD layers will insist the warning screen always popup due to legal reasons. It is nothing but a nag-screen.
All the best

It's confusing, since on the 2014 spec and pricing section of the Harley site, it is advertised as an infotainment feature.
Under "other" of infotainment, it lists "Vehicle Information Screen (Air temperature, oil pressure and engine temperature)". The Vehicle Info Screen has air temp, oil pressure and EITMS. I cant find engine temp anywhere in the Boom!Box manual or when using it.
Since it does show if "idle temperature management system (EITMS)" is enabled or not, I wonder if Harley's sales site got that mixed up as engine temp.
Disappointing if so, since I ride summers in Arizona. I thought that would provide some peace of mind.

Item #3 can be solved by just turning down the volume with your switch on the left grip. When you turn down the volume you will notice it says "Tuner/Media" on the volume bar. You will still hear all the prompts from the GPS.... I don't know about the CB though, since I don't have a CB on my bike. Your GPS volume is controlled by the feedback settings in the setup menu.
