Default Performance tuners

I have a 07 CVO Ultra Classic. All stock but the exhaust. Will a screaming eagle tuner improve my performance or being a CVO is it already done?

Yes it will. A TTS Mastertune you could do it yourself with a laptop. Check out Full Sac Performance.www.fullsac.com They sell the product but also tune bikes. Not affiliated just a happy customer.

Yes, a good tune will help substantially. Consider a Powervision from Fuel Moto. Their base map will have it running better and you can dial the last little bit in yourself.

It's not the tuning device, it's the person using it. See if Hiro is tuning at LV Harley. I have heard he is very good. I have not used him myself so use your own judgement.

Being CVO doesn't change the need for a tuner, especially if you want to optimise or modify your bike. The SE Street Performance Tuner or SE Pro Super Tuner both allow you to tune yourself (that is what they are designed for!). A training DVD is available for the Pro version.

Dealers and many indys will also be able to tune your bike if needed. There are other brands of these things available which can get frustrating to work through.

Not sure you'd get much out of just throwing a tuner with a canned map on it? While a proper tuner and dyno tune will assure proper running and I am a big believer in proper tuning. I'm not even sure how how much improvement you will feel on a stock '07 cvo? Guess it depends what you are wanting to achieve?

The difference in my stock 2012 CVO with and without a tune was huge. Bike ran smoother, cooler, etc. just on that alone. I tell everyone to get a tuner before they start changing exhausts and air cleaners....That's where the biggest gains are to be had.

There is absolutely no substitute for a custom tune. Find a recommended tuner in you local area and find out what tuner they prefer. I like the TTS but there are other good tuners. Do any other wanted mods before the tune, i.e., high flow air filter, ect.

I'm not sure on the difference but I'm guessing there is a pretty big difference between '07 and '12 factory tunes? Maybe not???
