Creekside Camp Grounds is super clean with excellent amenities for camping and they offer a Rustic Cabin with a queen size bed, 110 outlets and an air conditioner for each unit. Super friendly people. They're located on the east side of town south of the Broken Spoke
Anybody got any suggestions for hotels in or around sturgis planning on getting there 2 days before rally. I dont want to camp . We have a group of 6 going down should be a good time . On a side note places to see and ride down there would be great . Thanks in advance

Been there a couple times and I stayed at the School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City. They have 2 person, 4 person and 6 person dorm rooms. Best part is they provide complementary breakfast when you they there. The football team gets there around the first of August so you can imagine how well they are fed!
Last time (2 summers) I went it cost ~$86.00 per night (total 2 person room and breakfast) ....keep in mind it's an air conditioned dorm room so no TV/Cable/Minni Bar. You can rent a small refrig while you are there. When I stayed there I just sent an email to the contact us link and asked about staying there during bike week and they forwarded me to someone who takes care of the housing during the summer.
I've stayed at Ellsworth before, it was a pain in the *** coming in and leaving the base, plus, thanks to Clinton, had to secure my weapon every day at the armory.
Had to wear long sleeves, helmet, vest, gloves, boots, this for driving a 1/4 mile into the base, the price was nice, room clean, roomy, breakfast, was cheap, nice. good and bad, but that's just the way things go these days!
I have stayed at both Camp Rapid (Army National Guard Base) in Rapid City and Ft Mead outside of Sturgis. I have to stay "space A" and it's hard to get a room but it can be done. Camp Rapid waived all the safety requirements for the week of the rally, something I'd never heard of. I can put up with a lot of BS when the room is only $39 a night, LOL.
A buddy and I stated here last year. Close enough to the rally hotspots if you get going early but also easy access to great rides in the black hills.
The campus was also quiet enough for a good nights sleep. Good people, both the staff and the riders. Met a lot of repeat stayers that had good info on what to see in time allowed. Hope you have a great trip.
