Many will scoff at this though,(replacing their battery so often and this is your option) but I would rather be on the safe side and have a battery that would start every time and replace it every 2-3 years then I would be to get caught out in the middle of bumfak just once.
That's exactly what my '11 did when the battery was crapping out. The voltmeter was almost at or over 15. When I started it, it would crank once, delay a second or two, then fire up. The battery was OK voltage wise but didn't do so great on the load test.
I put in a new HD battery and the volt meter went back to the normal 14ish and it cranks right up with no delay.
