I'd say 7 years before the bottoms of the floorboards rust is pretty dang good. I'd imagine new ones or used eBay boards would be cheaper than powder coat. My last bike scrapped the boards hard but the 2014's seem to be much higher. Maybe that will help in itself.

Had a bunch of stuff done at the same time.
The lower bag rails, the floorboards, the original calipers, and a bunch of other parts were like $200 I think.
Powder is really affordable. Especially if you are going with a color that the coater has on hand.
