When I got my '14 limited, I vowed I was going to keep it stock for a while.
After 2000 miles, I decided the stock exhaust was just too "tinny" sounding (for lack of a better term).
A SE air cleaner, a set of Vance & Hines power duals, some monster ovals and a dyno tune and that respectable rumble (as well as a bit more oomph) has been achieved.
Yeah, I agree. I put Vance & Hines twin slash oval slip-ons on my '14 and like the improvement but still sounds kinda muffled with the cat. I've all but decided to go forward with putting on some V&H dresser duals,SE air cleaner, and a tune to complete the stage one. Just want a little more volume there when I crack the throttle.
So the twin slash ovals arent worth it to put on wingwheel?
Oh, no. I really like the twin slash ovals! I've got the sound I want, I just want to get the exhaust a little louder. I really like the sound of a dual exhaust. Regardless of slip-on type, I think I'm gonna have to pony up the cash to change the headers for what I am looking for. I like hearing my radio but like the bike to be heard too
