Default problems after exhaust install

I have a 2013 streetglide it has a stage one a/c and download.I put a set of 4 rhinehart slip-ons on over the weekend now it idles at about 1200 and smells like its running rich as hell. I torqued the muffler clamp bolts to 55 pounds. Also tried disconnecting battery and it is not throwing any codes. Does this sound like a tune issue or possible exhaust leak?

idle at 1200 would be normal for a cold machine, and also an overly rich mixture until the motor is warmed up.

you can check for exhaust leaks with the smoke from the tip of a cigarette.

I bet you are ok though...just let it warm up all the way

Exhaust leak would likely create a lean condition. Take it for a ride to see if it's running correctly. You don't say if you still have the factory header or if you have a tuner. You can change the mufflers, but if you changed the AC also, then you should get a tuner.

How does it perform when you ride it? More power, less power, popping?
When cold, they all run rich. You mentioned a download....do you have a fuel system installed or is it the H-D download?

Was that 60 miles at one time? Or 30 trips of 2 miles each? High idle and rich are indications of a cold engine.

Did you try the "cycle the ignition on and off 3 times" trick?

about 2 seperate 30 mile trips and yes I did try the ignition cycle trip, it was about 40 degrees out. Soon as it warms up a bit ill get it out and take a nice long ride.
