had the dealer take it off before I took delivery. I also moved the toe shifter out to the end of the mounting shaft for easier toe shifting. My few experiances in past years with HD clunky shifting almost required a heel shifter. But the 07 RKC shifts very easily with just a toe shifter.
Always shifting my foot around on the floorboard so I got rid of the heel shifter right way and got a cool toe shifter. Old habit to just use toe anyway.
I removed the heel shifter on my 2001 Roadking but then flipped it and used it for the toe shifter. There seemed to be a small difference in the offset thatgave me a hair more room.
My '07 Ultra is about to have the heel shifter removed as well.
