Well after reading through post for weeks I decided to go with the rockford PBR 300x2 amp and Polk mm651 speakers. The amp showed up yesterday and I cannot stress enough how simple of an install it was and the amazing fit it has inside the fairing. The speakers should be here today and cant wait to see how they sound. As a send off to the hd junk speakers I hooked them up to the amp and rolled smoke out of the coils in less than 5 seconds

Can you give me some insight on the install? Is it mostly plug and play or just splicing into a few wires? Does tank have to be removed to run power wire to the battery? Any help is appreciated. Did you get the amp on ebay?
Can't wait to see if you like them. I too am on the fence with the same setup or the titan II with RF amp. For less than $300 you can't beat it, if the speakers hold up. I believe that it was an older batch that had issues and lots of forum members are running them today. Good luck and keep us updated.
I just installed the polks and am very happy with the result for the $$$ spent read the 1st sticky in the audio forum alot of good info right there on the installation and most important the tools you should have on hand to pull those pods. Just an FYI your going to need the boom grills the stock grills did not work with the Polks.
Good luck with the Polks. Great choice on the amp but i went through 3 pairs of Polks in 8 moths. Replaced through polk and bought one pair out right again and all blown in every combination possible, through every set up possible.
