do not tap the switch itself,it controls a really,the plug is under the seat just in front of the battery. its a small plastic box with 4 small holes,use a light tester one hole is on the ignition one on the acc one on the brake. u can get a harness from the dealer OR use crimp on duetch connecters(look like small banana plugs)about 12 cents apiece.

the holes are under a rubber plug ontop the box.

Is this the connector everyone is talking about? Noticed it on all the Road Kings at the dealer. A service tech told me that is the connection to the fender tip light on the RK Classics sold overseas now. Said it should have accessory power.

I don't know what that white plug is for. My RK is a 2011 and the wires you are looking for are orange/white stripe and black. One of the wires had a red cover on it. You're in the right area in the picture, just a little higher and look closer to the back of the headlight.
