One last Zumo question:
How are you powering your Zumo? I guess what I'm asking is how to connect the Zumo to the bike's power.
If this is different for Street Glides than for Road Kings, I need help on both.
I've never seen a Zumo in person (in case you couldn't tell), so I want to make sure I know what I'm doing/need before placing an online order.
You just need a 12v power source, be it a cigarette lighter plug or or splicing into the back of the plug or the extra wire in the headlight harness or the accessory plug or straight to the battery. I prefer a source thatgoes on and offwith the main switch is on.
P.S. There's no such thing as one last Zumo question.
You will love the Zumo. I'm hard wired thru the ACC switch, not sure if it is the same for both bikes. Took about 30 minutes to hard wire but in my case the best thing to do. If you hard wire thru the ACC switch you have the option to keep the unit powered off when you start.
I am hired wire through the ACC switch as well. You can get to the wires up underneath the switch and if you have a voltmeter you can figure out which wires are hot when the switch is turned on. Once you figure that out then you can use the in-line power connectors and squeeze them to the appropriate wire.
