Default 2014 twin cool

What is everyone's opinion on a fuel management system for a 2014 twin cool limited? I'm looking at a power commander V from fuel moto. Mods are only a screaming eagle air cleaner and 4" rineharts slip ons.

How about it fuelmoto....what do ya think?

I'd go with the Power Vision.. flashes the ECM instead of adding another piece of electronics to your bike. Its what I have for my 2013 and I am super glad I went with that over the PCV. It does a lot of other cool stuff too.. downside is that its a little expensive.

It depends on what you want to do. If you just want to tune the mixture with a canned tune, you could go with the Micro Tuner from FM. Or if you want to have access to all sorts of info and the ability to change all sorts of variables go with the Power Vision.

The PC-V is a good chioce. It does allow for some tuning but requires a laptop and can't do it on the fly.

The PC-V and Micro Tuner are both piggyback units. The Power Vision is a flash tuner. I had a PC-V on the '06, but went with a power Vision on the '14.

Call Jamie or Don at Fuelmoto.

+1 with d-street

AC & slipons -micro tuner. Anything more than that, Power Vision is probably best

I'm considering a Power Commander, I've had them on a few other bikes in the past. As of right now the only thing I have on my bike is slip ons and I do know they tend to be mapped real lean from the factory.

Looking at the FM dyno's of the 14 wethead without any tuner or mods other than a set of slip ons showed almost 100 ft lbs of torque. That is amazing. Looking at FM's Dyno posts tell the story. The following FM dyno's with mods don't show much improvement for the money in my opinion. I would go with a set of slip ons and ride it for a while. When I test rode a 14 it seemed just as peppy as my 103 with 255's, slip ons, AC, and uncatted pipes with a SE tune.

If ya only want an add on the mirco tuner will work as well as Power commander on a stage1. Personally I don't understand using add-ons because they do away with the O2 sensor operation. Flash tuners are the only way to go on O2 bikes imho.

Not if your using an Auto Tuner.
That in conjunction with PC-V uses the O2 sensors.

Many on this forum were using this combination prior to the PV coming out which hasn't been all that long ago.

Believe the water cooled bikes have less need for a tuner than the air cooled.

Harley's water cooled bikes come from the factory already with more hp and torque than the others.

Having control of those hot spots in the heads allows for better control of timing and can run more compression and produce more power.

So, just adding better breathing might be where most of the easy and inexpensive gains are to be had.

A quick call to fuel moto should give you better insight than this forum, in this case.

I believe you still need more fuel to achieve an optimal AFR...
