Second season for me with the soft lowers. Great for shedding the cold winter air off my feet and shins. Also work great for defecting road spray away from you and the bike on those wet days.

only problem I had is that I liked the ride with them on so I purchased hard lowers so I could have it all the time.

After looking at this thread, I don't see any reason not to get a set for my SG.

Have a set in the garage that I used for years on my '99 Roadking, My only problem with them was that when it started to rain I would always procrastinate stopping to put them on until my legs and boots were already soaked. When shopping for a new bike in 2009, one of the things it had to have was vented hard lowers.

I still have a set in the closet that I purchased for an 03 EG. If I remember, they come with a warning about not using them above a certain temperature. They do work great for what they cost.
