I installed my Daymaker Reflector in place of both the Daymaker Projector and the TL7 on my 2014 Limited. As soon as I get a chance to ride to work one morning I'll post my findings. The TL7 is definitely better than the Daymaker that came on my bike but has a smoked look cause by the black divider. The HD Reflector looks much better. I can already tell just from shining it against the wall of my garage that the light pattern is different from both of the other lights. It looks to be much more diffused and I didn't notice a concentrated hot spot. The reflector dome has a load of facets to help diffuse the light. It almost doesn't seem as bright but with so much diffusion it makes sense that it would give that impression.

I was set to get the non-reflector Daymakers last year but read these have a narrower beam and are harder to see at wider angles from others. Not good when oncoming traffic can't see you.

Sounds like the Daymaker reflectors are the ticket.

I just put the original daymaker on mine... depending on how this thread goes I may regret that decision but I guess that's what ebay is for.

I have the Daymaker Reflector installed, but haven't had a chance to ride with it yet. The weather is supposed to be nice this week so I should have a opinion about it soon. I really like the look and it's much brighter than stock in the garage. It also seems that you can see the light very well when viewing from a angle.

I have actually had the chance to ride with my Daymaker Reflector. I have run the Daymaker Projector, Daymaker Reflector and the TL7. I definitely prefer the reflector type to the Daymaker that came in my bike. It's still not the headlight I would develop. I don't think it is as bright as the TL7 but it does diffuse the light more so that it is not as concentrated and doesn't have the distinct horizontal cutoff. The high beam is also narrower and slightly more focused than the TL7 but much more widespread than the Daymaker Projector. The HD Reflector looks better on my bike with the Daymaker spotlights where the TL7 has a smoked look. If the TL7 had a chrome divider to do away with the smoked look and didn't protrude so much I would use it instead. I still run the spots on both low and high beam but I am much more comfortable with the Reflector Daymaker than I was with the Projector type.

How do you like the Daymaker Reflector on the back roads? Is it plenty bright?

The light is good, especially if you are running the spotlights with it. I had really hoped for more, seeing that it's 2014 and there have been such advances in lighting, but it's the best I can do. The light doesn't appear as "white" as the projector type but it's much whiter than a halogen. In my opinion, that actually makes it easier for my "older eyes" to see with since there isn't as much contrast between a super white light and the surrounding darkness. I'll leave this one on the bike and quit experimenting.

I finally got to take my first ride yesterday with the HD Reflector LED. My first impression is that it's great. It puts out a very bright white light compared to the stock halogen. It's a little weird at first, getting used to all the signs and stripes glaring back at you. The reflector seems to have good dispersement from side-to-side and the high beam shoots a focused beam down the center (similar to a focused flashlight).
I ride with the high beam on during the day, and if folks can't see this bright white light coming, they need to park it. I think this reflector design can be seen very well from an angle/side during daylight as well. I'm not running aux lights and can see just fine, but I'm sure they would help with some fill just in front of the bike. I need a little more seat time with the LED in some really dark twisty's, but so far I really like it.
