98 Road King having no spark issues
New to the forum, I am a deployed Soldier right now and trying to get my Road King running back at home with the help of a friend. When I deployed, I showed my wife how to start and run my road king every week to keep new fuel running through the carb. I had forgot to fill up the tank prior to my departure though and my wife tried starting my harley while on empty. She cranked it without giving it any rest between which ate the battery and has done something to my ignition system. I figured she fried the ignition coil so i purchased a new battery, new plugs and wires and a SE ignition coil. Buddy of mine just put it all on for me and tested it with a spark tester. Still getting no spark, what should my next move be? Thanks for any help.
have someone put a little stabil in the gas tank and fill it to the top.

there is a carb drain accessed with a screwdriver from between the cylinder, drain the carb
throw a sheet over it.
starting a bike with out allowing it to get to full operating temperatures is BAD for the bike.
moisture from condensation forms in the cases and never boils out, the choked fuel mixture and loose piston rings will put that gas into your oil, acids form...bearings are eaten and corroded.
the battery never recharges as much as it is run down turning the starter...
just leave the bike until you get home safe.
-and then start by changing the oil
then looking at the ignition system. remember that cranking the motor with the plug wires pulled ( "I'm a gonna test 'em") can blow the ignition coil
