I have already tried a few windshields. Long Ride 10 inch, Cee Bailey 10 inch and a 9 inch I found on Ebay. Currently running the Cee Bailey as it is a dark bronze which matches bike color.
Not a lot of difference between the 10 inch shields. Both shields reduce sunglass buffeting but I'm still getting the sides of my head buffeted and lots of wind noise. Ears ring unless I really plug them up. Have a couple sets of ear plugs.
Was wondering if the extra side sections of the Windsplitter and Clark's would help. Just wondering how bad the Windsplitter distortion irritates those that run it. I'll take a trip to the dealer to test ride one but I am wondering if the Clark's Custom flat top would be better. No curve = no distortion.
Any opinions on the wider sides on these shields? Do they create a bigger pocket of calm air?
I'm running a clarks custom,it doesn't make noise like the taller recurves do,and u and your passenger can hear the radio better.as far as distortion i look over the shield not through it.
