Well if you can't handle the heat (so to speak...) you should get your own section. (BTW, the shifters on the left.)

Here are some sample topics in the new and improved Rushmore section:

Pulled the trigger and bought a '14 Limited!

Pulled the trigger and bought a '14 Street Glide Special!

Went to the dealer to buy a light bulb and bought a '14 Street Glide Special!

What color should I get my new '14 Limited?

Thinking of pulling the trigger, what should I get, a '14 SGS or Limited?

Love my '14 Limited, best bike ever!

Just picked up my '14 SGS, should I get matching boots?

Got a '14 Limited and want to program 55 routes, 1000 songs, be able to voice text while riding and have the infotainment system answer and stores calls for me automatically while I drink from my big mug attached to the apehangers I just put on. What do I need to do?

Default New King

I bought 2014 Road King last October and only have 800km on it but she is flawless in my books.I had stage one done on delivery.Screaming eagle air, pipes with fish tails(hard on the ankles till you remember their there)programed and ready to roll.Other than that she's a big step up from my old 98 Road King. Now to get outside and start shoveling more snow.

I'm not impressed w/anyone's special status..I could really care less..
Funny I don't see this thread being a "sticky" ?
I live in the "Rushmore state" it's called South Dakota and Mount Rushmore is 40 minutes from my house.
I have to put up w/folks like you every year that think they are elite just cause they ride HD's and come out here to Sturgis.
They're still just nothin' more than pompous asses.
Do me a favor and stay home.

see ya and hope ya all don't come back! Thanks Terry from a 2013 owner of a POS according to 2014 owners of the best bikes ever built. This is where too many "best bike I ever owned" and "I love this bike" got you guys, hope it was worth it.

Since you addressed me I'll respond although I really don't understand most of your post...
Special Status? It's a new bike with it's own particular problems, why shouldn't they be discussed in their own area, are you saying because we have the newer bikes we have "special status"?
"a sticky"? I don't understand your point.
I'm glad (I guess) you live where you live although again I don't understand your point.
"folks like me"? I've never been to Sturgis and have no plans to go there. I'd like to ride the area as I hear you have some beautiful riding roads there but that's it for me, no bar posing, just riding.
If you say people that go to Sturgis are "pompous asses", I'll take you at your word, again, I've never been (and will never be) there.
"...stay home" ?????

Maybe you should lighten up a bit, it's just a section for the newer bikes, nothing else. And it's open to comments from all, I'm sure when you or anyone else enters the market for a new bike it will be very helpful going to this section for info.
I belong to a Corvette Forum and when Chevrolet introduced the next generation Vette late last year, they got their own C7 section in that Forum, I don't remember anyone calling them elitist or pompous. It was just a new car with it's own issues and most people appreciated the fact that these issues were being addressed in their own section. Same here with the Rushmore models, nothing else...
