Default speaker adapter

I may be stupid , but which direction do the speaker adapters point on a batwing fairing. I have the 6.5 speakers.

They can only work one way. The smaller opening goes against the opening in the fairing (5.25") and the larger side allows for the larger speaker to be mounted against it.
Which adapters did you buy?

When your in front of the bike looking at the fairing, on the right speaker the offset of the adapter goes towards the upper right of the fairing(this is your right facing the bike) and DO NOT put a screw in the lower left screw hole when mounting the adapter, and use all 4 screws to mount speaker. Just reverse this for the left side. Hope this makes sense. 2010 Limited with some stuff
