Afternoon all,

Nneed a little assitance.

I have a friend with a 2013 CVO Road Glide Custom.

He already has a 4 point docking kit on the bike, but hes after a tour pak, the full size is too big and the razor just is too small.

Hes seen the 2014 chopped which is perfect, but wants to know will the pak fit on a 2013 tour pak mount.

If anyone knows either way or has pics could you paste them or send me to the right link.

Any help would be great.

A 2014 tourpak will NOT fit on a 2013 mount unless you do some modifications. If he is wanting a 2014 tourpak he needs to get the 2014 mount.

There was a thread awhile back where a member put a 2014 tour pack on his 2013 bike, very good info and pics ! Might want to do a search.

 

there have been a couple of threads on mounting the 2014 packs on 2013 below bikes, so since i haven't done that, i will leave you with the search button.

but, let me play devils advocate here. the 2014 chopped pack is actually larger than the old king tourpaks. plus, he has a cvo. the 2014 chopped pack does not come in his colors. so he is going to have to either go with a solid, 'sorta matches' color, or get unpainted and pay big (really big) money to have it painted. i say either do it right, or don't do it. it's bad enough to half-*** a standard bike, but to pay the cvo premium and do it? that aint right ....

in your original scenario, you don't mention anything about the 2013 older, chopped tourpak. has he looked at them? you mention king, and razor. the chopped is right there in the middle. plus, he'll be able to buy it color matched.

Yes, the 14 Tour Pak mount will fit on the 13 4 point. Mine went on with no trouble at all.

How do you like the MGS slip ons ? Did you take out the baffles and wrap them ?

 

I like them a lot. I have the stock baffles in there, havent touched them. The right side is a little louder now, I sheared off the set screw on the bottom parking it over a curb once, so its a little loose inside.

They have a nice grunt to them when you get on it. But tolerable enough for daily use.
