I just installed Custom Dynamics turn signals all around. They came with a whole-system equalizer that connects in-line and to the battery as well. I know what equalizers are for. I've used the individual ones before. Never saw one that needed connection to the battery. I have two questions.
Why does their equalizer need power?
Can I omit it entirely if I don't find the blinker speed objectionable? It blinks at normal speed four times then speeds up around 50%. Alarm and everything else seems to work fine.
on my 2010 dyna with L.E.D in the back my TSM balanced out the flash on my signals after about 5-10 mins. but it took that long for it to adjust.. you may find the same thing with your
That's something I didn't expect. It makes sense though, because the directions mention something about running the signals for a few minutes to synchronize the system. Maybe I can return their expensive load eq. I guess it's needed on older bikes without TSM.
lol, i didnt either, when i got my saddleman bags with the lights in the back i opted to hook those up as the turn signals.. i did get equalizers with the bags and i tried to hook them up and that didnt work, so i just hooked them up anyway and let them flash for a bit and at first they flashed real fast and them slowed down, now they flash just a hair faster then stock... that would 1 extra flash for about every 15-20 normal flashes (i compared to the slim we have and timed it that way)
