Default 4pt docking question??

Looking at a used docking kit on Craigslist and am wondering about the nuts in the following pic? Why are they there? It's listed as HD part #54246-o9A but I've never seen one that included nuts? Any ideas? Just looking for clarification.....Thanks

Not sure, maybe just to keep the bolts from getting lost?

^^^Exactly^^^

Those are the mounting bolts so it looks like the person used bolts to keep them with the mounts. If you download & review the instructions from HD, you'll see what parts are needed and how it mounts on bike...remember to get some "red" locktite.

Sorry guys....still not following. The three mounting bolts (to the bike) are visable below, this looks like its holding the connect point on....no?

Those are jacked and more than likely knock offs. The nuts are not on the Harley ones. My .02, keep looking.
